Time will tell as to whether or not such Twitter feeds will become established communication channels for the Offices. Of interest will be in particular to monitor if the Offices dare to make use of the bi-directionality of Twitter, i.e. if they are willing not only to write their own tweets but also reading those of others. Actually we haven't really started using Twitter at the DKPTO yet - we're just slowly trying to figure out how we may be able to use it. So yesterday I started following a few interesting Twitter accounts to see how others do...
Sounds interesting. It's great that the PTO's have taken a proactive step to see whether its worth their while to be on this stream of information and be readily accessible to inventors or applicants wishing to pursue their patent protection. Recent self-help sites are a good way to go too, like this link i found the other day http://www.patentexpress.com, which is a site that offers a guide to inventors and applicants on how to patent.
