Norway Ratifies NPI Agreement.

Earlier this year

I had reported on the project of establishing a Nordic Patent Institute (NPI). Recently, on June 11, 2007, the Norwegian Parliament has given its approval to the Agreement of July 05, 2006, between the governments of Denmark, Iceland and Norway to establish the

NPI. Before that, on May 04, 2007, the Nordic Patent Institute had been assigned the two-letter code "XN" for use in all documents relating to industrial property titles and applications. The NPI will be located in

Taastrup, Danmark. See also the

Thanks for mentioning our new PCT authority. I regret we've primarily been writing about the NPI in Danish so far - but we'll be coming up with a few articles in English soon!
