EU Prepares Accepting the Protocol Amending the Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS).

On April 27, 2006, the EU Council has published

Document 8932/06 conveying a proposal for a Council Decision accepting, on behalf of the European Community, the

Protocol amending the Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS), done at Geneva on 6 December 2005 and

allowing compulsory licences to the extent necessary for the purposes of production of a pharmaceutical product and its export to an eligible importing Member States, see also
