Deliberations concerning a Directive on measures and procedures to ensure the enforcement of intellectual property rights.

January 23, 2004 a Working Party on Intellectual Property will continue the examination of the proposal for a Directive on measures and procedures to ensure the enforcement of intellectual property rights on the basis of

Document 16289/03, taking account also of

amendments proposed by the Legal Affairs Committee of the European Parliament. Originally this meeting had been scheduled for

February 23, 2004. It looks as if the Irish EU Presidency is pressing towads a political compromise to be reached very soon.

A Revised Presidency compromise proposal for Articles 10 to 27 dated November 28, 2003 from the Presidency had been published with

Document 15295/03 and

Document 15295/03 ADD 1.
