Will the EU Directive on the patentability of computer-implemented inventions be delayed?

There is a fresh

report [in French] suggesting that a further discussion of the pending proposal for a Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council on the patentability of computer-implemented inventions will not be on the agenda of the meeting of the Council (Competitiveness) on November 26 and 27, 2003 due to a request of France demanding more time for deliberations.
