Wednesday, August 27, 2003The Battle on the European ParliamentToday the Eurolinux coalition stages a street demonstration in Brussels against the EU Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council on the patentability of computer-implemented inventions which is due to pass the European Parliament on September 01, 2003.There are unconfirmed rumors that some Members of the house are eager to further postpone the final ballot in the plenum in order to have more time for discussions. The opinions seem to be very divided over the proposed Directive.
